2005 to Present - Art Direction / Design / Illustration

Dogboy is a canine behavior consultant and certified pet dog trainer working in the greater NYC area. I have been working with Dogboy since his inception in 2005; designing his identity as well as handling all his art direction and design needs.

2016 to 2018 - Design

Documentary on the legendary Dennis and Lois. Working with the film’s director, Chris Cassidy, and inspired by the NYC downtown punk scene where the duo met, I designed the film's logo and type treatments including lower thirds, on-screen quotes, and credits. I also worked on various promotional items for the film including t-shirts, postcards, and Kickstarter reward posters. I created a customized version of Franklin Gothic achieved by numerous trips through the photocopier.

2018 - Art Direction / Design

Sleeve design and promotional GIF for Kinski single on These Are Not Records. Cover image was appropriated from a 1950’s cookbook and slightly treated to give it a sickly, pink look.

2013 to 2014 - Design / Art Direction

I helped design the logo and identity of the 350th anniversary of the town of Eastchester. Inspired by the signing of the town covenant, I designed a primary logo, alternate logo, color palette, letterhead, lampost banners, and website header graphics. 

2017 - Art Direction / Design

Logo design for the New York Chapter of the American Association for Public Opinion Research. Along with the logo, a color palette, and social media icons were created.

2015 - Art Direction / Design

Re-branding for NYC-based accounting firm. A logo, various lock-ups, envelope, website and social media applications were custom made for this project. 

2019 - Design

Instagram graphics along with logo and t-shirt concepts for The Nefarious Pow. A group started by Kevin Egan of Beyond/1.6 Band/The Last Crime and Anthony Rizzo of Garden Variety / Vic Thrill.

2016 to Present - Design / Illustration / Art Direction

I designed and illustrated a holiday card for our family in 2015. My wife, also a designer, was inspired to start our own, little, informal paper goods concern called…JK Paper Goods. We’ve printed several runs of holiday cards and created a few downloadable, cut-em-up-yourself pdf valentine’s day cards.

Our logo was taken from an old sheet of press type.

2018 - Illustration

I did this illustration of Peter Gabriel in his “Watcher of the Skies” costume to celebrate the release of the classic Foxtrot album by Genesis.

Cassette packaging and LP design for Kösmonaut's Magnificent Desolation album. The cassette was released on Dullest Records. The LP was meant to come out on Beats In Space, but alas, the planets never aligned for that one.

2017 - Art Direction / Design

Sleeve design and promotional GIF for New Haven, CT free improv duo Rivener. A joint release from These Are Not Records and Twin Lakes Records.

2015 - Art Direction / Design

I designed the identity for Watchout! Video Productions, a Long Island-based company that films and edits performances for local bands and tribute acts. A logo, wordmark, lockups, stationary, and social media icons were all created. The wordmark was created from an altered version of Lubalin Graph.

2013 - Design / Illustration

When it was first open, I was asked by Christian Petroni to design a t-shirt for his Fortina restaurant. After a few rounds of designs, we finally settled on this graphic representation of Mortadella. Of course!

2014 - Design / Illustration

Working directly with the associate director of health, I designed and illustrated a series of posters, along with a corresponding brochure, that dealt with pregnancy and delivery issues.

Cassette packaging design for Rambutan's Universal Impulses on These Are Not Records.

2013 - Design

Poster design for Landing’s 15th-anniversary summer tour. The band members were bringing their kids for this jaunt, hence the imagery.

Design for Food Pyramid’s Creation Beat 12” on These Are Not Records. All the pertinent info was printed on the A-side label, so it could all be read through the die-cut on the front of the DJ-style sleeve.
